  • Abstract
A collection and processing system which permits digital tomographic reconstruction of data from a Siemens Gammasonics PHO/CON-192 Multiplane Imager has been modified to permit reconstructions which are controlled by a physiologic trigger signal incorporated into the data. Special cicuitry added to a prototype digital interface connected to the PHO/CON allows collection of data in list mode which incorporates a gate signal. Later processing by computer uses the gate information to produce temporally reconstructed digital images. Phantom studies using a moving radioactive source and patient studies using Tl-201 and Tc-99m pertechnetate demonstrate the effectiveness of gated digital tomography.
