  • Abstract
    The general hybrid-mode solution for ferrite-loaded rectangular cavities is formulated. Solutions in closed form or in terms of known functions being unattainable, a variational expression for the eigenvalues is given. Results are shown graphically for eigenvalues obtained as a function of the d.c. magnetising field for a simple trial function.
