  • Abstract
    In the letter, two new types of couplers are presented: an equal-ripple symmetrical 19-section bandpass coupler, where the bandwidth is more than double the bandwidth of the hitherto known symmetrical couplers, and a nearly equal-ripple continuously tapered highpass symmetrical coupler, where the coupling response shows an ultra-broadband behaviour.
