Generalisation of vlach´s method for the numerical inversion of the Laplace transform

Vlach´s method for numerical inversion of the Laplace transform is shown to be a particular case of the complex Gaussian quadrature. Owing to this equivalence, Vlach´s method may be generalised to a wider category of image functions. Furthermore, the error criterion of the approximation has been brought out.
