  • Abstract
    A new kind of calorimeter, designed for the absolute measurement of radiation power, is described. The calorimeter contains a blackened radiation absorber in the form of a flat capacitor made of BaTiO3 ceramic. The calorimeter is suitable for measurements in the power range of from several milliwatts to about 1 W, in the wavelength region between visible and several microns, with an accuracy of within 3%.
