  • Abstract
    A new method of surface nondestructive testing using 1-dimensional acoustic holography has been demonstrated. A simulated defect 0.5 mm in diameter and 1 ¿m thick has been clearly resolved using 60 MHz acoustic surface waves, propagating along a quartz substrate.
