Multistable circuit using complementary field-effect transistors

A 2-terminal circuit formed by two series-connected mutually biased complementary depletion-mode field-effect transistors conducts within a limited voltage range. A parallel combination of such circuits with varying biases has a periodic characteristic with the voltage a multivalued function of the current. A multistable circuit that uses this characteristic is presented.
