Abstract
A unique color interpolation approach for digital still cameras is introduced and described in terms of color vectors. A new difference plane model is introduced and used in conjunction with the proposed here correction process. This avoids edge blurring while improving on the color appearance of previous methods. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method exhibits superior performance over state of-the-art color interpolation methods.
