Abstract
A radiometric probe positioned at different points on the surface of a lossy medium can detect the presence of a sub-surface thermal noise source. Radiometric images are obtained by a combination of measured data and calculated weighting functions of the probe associated with the underlying lossy materials. The authors show that the quality of these images and their spatial resolution can be greatly improved by Wiener filtering deconvolution of their corresponding data.
