Abstract
A multiserver queueing model with server having interruptions described through the binomial statistics is proposed. A technique to deduce the expression for the infinite-storage-capacity buffer content probability mass function is investigated which greatly simplifies the analysis of the multiserver queues. To estimate the finite buffer size for a specified very low overflow probability an inequality is derived. Using the technique presented in this paper, the store-and-forward buffer of an integrated digital voice/data system is analysed.
