  • Abstract
    An algorithm is presented which can be applied to Reed-Massey algorithm codes and utilises orthogonal and non-orthogonal check sums with a resulting improved performance. The algorithm is applied to a well-known class of convolutional threshold codes with a subsequent improvement in the nonbounded error-correcting capability.
