  • Abstract
    A new input rate regulation algorithm is presented in which the credit generation rate is changed according to the state of an on-off data source. The proposed algorithm requires smaller buffers than the static-rate algorithm to satisfy the same quality of service (QOS). Using the uniform arrival and service model, the performance of the proposed algorithm is analysed.<>
