  • Abstract
Management consultants are brought in by organisations needing wider expertise than is available internally, or to provide an objective appraisal, advice on a new strategy, improve performance, install new systems or equipment, launch new projects, or supply experts to cope with temporary workloads. The traditional view of management consultants is that they´re an expensive way of getting someone else to do your dirty work for you, especially if you´re a big company. But there are times when you should consider hiring them. This paper provides some advice on when to seek and how to choose management consultants for your company.
