Abstract
The results of a Monte Carlo/semianalytic estimation of the performance of DS spread spectrum ISM band radio LANs in a time dispersive channel are presented. The results show that these DS systems have an advantage over FH systems of 4-6 times, depending on diversity scheme, in maximum tolerable delay spread or maximum transmission rate.
