Comment on "Obtaining bandpass filter coefficients from low-pass prototypes"

It is pointed out that, contrary to the claim made in the above letter [1], a closed-form expression for the bandpass coefficients can easily be derived, given the low-pass prototype transfer function and the lowpass-to-bandpass transformation. There appears to be, therefore, no reason to employ a numerical routine with its inherent inaccuracies as was suggested in the letter referenced above [1].
