Abstract
Eddy current losses have been calculated in electrical sheet arching for single- and multidomain wall models. It has been assumed that the electrical sheet of this type can be regarded as a circular sector of a given radius. The calculations have served as a basis for plotting the relation between eddy current losses and the average domain wall width/sheet thickness ratio for various radius values. Diagrams have been drawn for single- and multidomain wall models. Assuming that the radius of the sheet arching tends to infinity, equations for a plane model have been obtained. The resulting formulas are consistent with those provided by Pry and Bean and Agarval and Rabins.
