Abstract
A multilink system consists of several full-duplex parallel links that carry data between two nodes. The authors construct a protocol-the multilink protocol (MLP)-that simulates a single full-duplex link system. They show that the multilink protocol proposed by the existing standard is not reliable, and they define a new multilink protocol that is proved to be reliable
