نقش رسالۀ هندسۀ عملي بوزجاني در شكل‌گيري تزيينات هندسي آثار دورۀ سلجوقي

The Role of Būzjānī’s Treatise Practical Geometry in the Formation of Geometric Ornaments in the Artworks of the Seljuk Period

مقالۀ پيش رو با هدف شناخت چگونگي تأثير رسالۀ «هندسۀ عملي» بوزجاني بر شكل‌گيري نونگاره‌هاي هندسۀ پرگاري، در هنر و معماري سلجوقي نوشته شده است. گام نخست اين پژوهش مطالعۀ جايگاه اين رساله در سنت رساله‌هاي هندسۀ عملي است. اين پژوهش در گام بعد، ساختار تزيينات هندسي تا زمان پديد آمدن رساله را مورد بررسي قرار داده و به روند شكل‌گيري و سير تكامل سبك نوين برآمده از ساختار هندسۀ پرگاري پرداخته است كه هم‌زمان با تحرير رساله و يا متأخر از آن ظاهر شده‌اند. در پايان، پژوهش با توجه به روش‌هاي هندسيِ ارائه شده در رساله و نقوش موجود در آن، بر جايگاه رسالۀ بوزجاني در شكل‌گيري نونگاره‌هاي پرگاري در تزيينات هندسي سبك سلجوقي تأكيد مي‌كند.

The present study aimed at investigating the effects of abū al-Wafā Bāzjānī’s Practical Geometry on the formation of new compass (Pargārī) geometry paintings in Seljuk art and architecture. First, the study focused on the status of this treatise in the tradition of practical geometry literature. Then, it examined the structure of geometric embellishments up to the release of this treatise, focusing on the formation and evolution of this novel style under the influence of compass geometry, in works that were created at the time of or after this treatise. Finally, by examining the geometric methods and motifs provided in the treatise, this study determined the status of Būzjānī’s work with respect to the formation of new compass paintings in the artistic and architectural embellishments of the Seljuk era
