Standardization of WHR, BMI, WC and Body Fat Percentage among men aged between 30 and 55

This thesis was carried out to standardize the anthropometric indices including WHR, BMI, WC and Body Fat Percentage among men aged between 30 and 55 in Tehran . The subjects were 450 men from Tehran.. Based on the results of this research, the subjectsʹ norms were as follows. WHR : 0.95±0.57, WC : 93.77±10.22cm, BMI : 25.8±3.65 kg/m? Data analysis showed that the norms of WHR, BMI, WC and Body Fat percentage as the predictive indices when the obesity related diseases occur, are higher in comparison with their foreign samples. This difference may be due to the economic, cultural - social factors, nutrition disorders, lack of adequate and regudar physical netivities and neglect of the dangers of obesity.
