A study on the Persian books on visual arts from 1976-2002

The present article studies the Persian books on visual arts published during the years 1976-2002. Regarding the 15637 collected and introduced books published on art, extracted from art data-bank(lran book house), number of published books and proportion of each one from authorship, translation, number of men and women authors, imprint, different publishers, impression, subject trend in this field are the main points under consideration. Extracted results of this survey informs us of the conducted researches on different fields of the visual arts from qualitative and quantitative level and is a tool for promotion of the qualitative level of the related researches. According to the statistical data presented in this survey and different fields of visual arts, need for researches on the subjects that have less frequency and also recognition of accumulation of composing books on a special subject, are objectives of this research.
