Cloning of Desulphurization Operon of 4s Pathway in Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Sulfur in crude oil, has many dangerous effects in the air pollution and environment; so many attempts has been done in the base of identification and characterization of desulfurizing bacteria. In this research, desulfurizing genes from Rhodococcus erythropolis IGTS8 were cloned under the control of "tac" promoter and inserted into the chromosome of Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC9027 strain through conjugation. Also, a plasmid copy of the desulfurizing locus was introduced in the recombinant Pseudomonas. These clones were confirmed with genetic tests. This recombinant bacteria maybe useful in desulfurization researches
