On The Possibility Of DTM Generation Using Satellite Altimetry Data Over The Land Areas Using Topex-Poseidon Satellite Altimetry Data

A thorough study on the possibility of using Topex-Poseidon satellite altimetry data for DTM generation over the land area has been conducted. The geographical region of Iran has been selected as the test region. The study proves that repeated observations of Topex-Poseidon satellite are a valuable source for increasing the precision and resolution of existing DTMʹs. The theoretical details and the results of the case study will be presented.
