Evaluation Of Effect Of Valepotriates On Long -- Term And Short-Term Memory And Determining Mechanism Of Their Influence In Rats

Valerian is a pharmaceutical herb whit sedative properties. There is multiple fractions in valerian that two main fraction of that are valepotriates and volatile oils. In this study, effect of i. P and ICV injection of Valepotriats on the short-term and long-term memory of rate is researched i.p injection of valepotriates decreased the short-term and long-term memory. ICV injection of valepotriates decreased the short-term and long-term memory. ICV injection of Bicueulline reversed the effect of valeportriates on the short-term memory but didnʹt changed effect of valepotriates on the long-term memory. Whit education previous studies on valepotriates, short-term memory probably have been decreased via effect on the GABA receptors, so that long - term memory have been decreased via inhibation of protein syntetize.
