بررسي حاملگي هاي ناخواسته در زنان شهرستان يزد

Unplanned pregnancies are the biggest problem of Family Planning today. This survey which was carried out to determine the prevalence and causes of unplanned pregnancies was a descriptive, analytical one. It was carried out among 1200 pregnant women in hospitals of Yazd city in the year 1377. The prevalence of unplanned pregnancies in urban and rural women was 26.1 and 32 percent respectively.The contraceptive methods used were as follows:I)Withdrawal method (coitus interruptus) 40.1%, II) Oral contraceptive pills (OCP) 17.1% and IIl) Condoms 15.7%. There was a significant relationship between unplanned pregnancies and maternal age (P=0.001), and also the number of children in the family (P=0.002) .
