Statistics Estimation of Fixed Capital Inventory Time-Series in Different Economic Sectors within 1959-2002

This paper tries to estimate statistics of fixed capital inventory time-series in different sectors of agriculture, oil and gas, mines and industries, water and electricity, construction, transportation and warehousing, telecommunications, properties and other services within 1959-2002 on the basis of fixed prices of 1997. In addition, fixed capital amortization rates are estimated in these categories as well. The estimated amortization rates here coordinate with a previous estimation by Amini, Saffari-Pour and Nahavandi (1998) and other studies, and there are very few differences. But, the absolute values of fixed capital inventory differ from the previous studies. This is caused by the difference in the base year and by different methods used for calculating national accounts with the fixed prices of 1982 and 1997.
