The effect of socio-economic factors on violent crime: a case study on murders.

Crime, as a law-breaking offence, can take place with various intensities and magnitudes. Along with psychological and mental factors of its, the intensity and magnitude ofcrime is directly proportional to social, economic, and cultural factors within each and every society, too. Generally, crime can be classified under either ofthe two categories of petty and violent crimes. Meanwhile, the results and off-shoots of violent crime are more serious and palpable within societies. The following article is an effort on the way to understand and introduce causing factors ofa kind of violent crime; murder. The article studies murders in various provinces oflran in 2005. On the way to study causing factors of murders, various economic factors like GNP. and etc. have been contrasted amongst provinces where there were mean ingful differences on the murder statistics
