The Study of Vegetation Cover Indexes Using Landsat Satellite and TM Sensor Data

The electromagnetic spectrum is a hierarchy of energies whose long wavelengths differ from nanometer to several meters. Its resource is sun, which targets the earth features (including vegetation, water, and soil) after passing through the atmosphere. Some of these spectra are absorbed and some are reflected. Such spectra are absorbed by satellites and are used as pixels. One of the uses of such data is their utilization in vegetation studies. The Vegetation Indexes are a specific type of spectra and usually are in the form of numbers. These indexes are the main concern of this study. Each of these indexes has been designed in such as way that has different characteristics and different applications.
