The Need for Building a New City in Mazandaran Province

The unplanned trend of industrializing in Iranian cities, their rapid growth without adequate policies, the rapid population growth, shanty towns, land destruction and the unbalanced growth of city bodies, have resulted in negative situation in different sections especially in the central parts of Mazandaran. This requires an effective organization and planning in regional level, with the aim of decentralization, stabilizing the land prices, reducing environmental pollution, preserving farm lands and preventing the unregulated extension of the cities. In this research, we have used measurable and analytical tools, along with interviewing with regional residents, local inquiries and considering old experiences, in the order to specify current situation and the need of constructing a new city in central part of Mazandaran Province.
