Security and Its Achievement in Mohaqeq Sabzavaries Thought

T his article looks at the concept of "security" and factors lead to it as well as various dimension of it according to Rozatulanvar of Mohaqeq Sabzavari. Since he has been living during the Safavids, this article may demonstrate the political and social situation of that period in Iran as well as how government and politics have been viewed at that time. This article argues that Sabzavari has never been supporting dictatorship and has believed that dictatorship contradicts security. Based on what this article documents, Sabzavari acted according to the theory of Saltanat-e Mashrooah (legitimate monarchy) and accommodative approach so he has cooperated with the Safavids. Sabzavari has been viewing security as a multidimensional phenomenon which can be achieved through various means.
