Where is Iran MARC going? A study of Iran MARC in three Phases

By the time the idea of developing a national MARC format for Iran was thought, up to the present time that IRAN MARC is seen as part of the "Integrated system of the National Library (Rasa)1ʹ, there have been three processes: IRAN MARC as a doctoral dissertation, IRAN MARC as a manual, and the operational phase of IRAN MARC as part of the "Integrated system of the National Library (Rasa)". Part of the modifications in the format through these processes, constitutes the content of this paper. The dependence rate of each process to the modifications and suggestions presented in the previous process is presented in the paper. A question is also answered: Is IRAN MARC going forward or backward?
