Six Quatrains in Old Tabari

The fahlavt-type poems deciphered here are in Tabari and have been preserved in a Persian manuscript kept at the Biblioteque Nationale in Paris. The manuscript is dated 763/1362, but the orthography of the Tabari verses suggests that they must have been inserted into the manuscript at a later date. The Tabari poems were carefully copied by the Persian scholar Muhammad Qazvini into his notebook titled Masaʹil-i parislya "The Parisian Issues," now kept at the Central Library of the University of Tehran, and recently published by Iraj Afshar.
