A Study on the Correlation ofParentsʹ General Adjustment and their Parentsʹ Religious Attitude with Marital Satisfaction ot their Female Offspring

This research investigates the relationships and attitudes of the family-of-origin and its effects 011 the future of children. Satistica l population were all of married female students in kish Language Institute in Tehran. Though cluster multi-stage sampling, 160 married females wen: selected. The research had six hypotheses regarding the correlation of Parentsʹ general adjustment, and the subtests of Mutual Adjustment, Mutual Attachment, Expression of Love, and Marital Satisfaction with thier farnale childrenʹ snantal satisfaction. Enrich su btesrs 0 [wife-husband, adjustment; religious attitude and marital satisfaction were used. Analysis of the data was done using Pearson correlation coefficient and its test of significance as well as step by step regression. Results of research indicate positive significant correlation between parents general adjustment, religious attitude of the family-of-origin with marital satisfaction among female children. Also. regression analysis indicates that parentʹ ~eneral satisfaction has the most power for prediction of the changes in children marital satisfaction, and expression of affection has the least power for predection.
