A critical study of life and works of Saraaj-o-Din Fartdpourk Persian poet of Bengal

Persian language has been influential in Indian semi-continent for more than six centuries (from 1203 to 1837). Many poets of the area started writing their poetry in Persian language during this period. One of these poets is Saraaj-o-Din Faridpouri who lived in Bangladesh. The writers of this article have studied the life and works of this great poet. To do this better, the writers have divided the paper into three parts. In the first part, they have studied Persian language in Bangladesh. In the second part, they have presented the life and works of this great poet and in the last part of the article, the writers have presented a stylistics analysis of his poetry.
