Comparison of Aggression and Stress in Parents of Mentally Retarded vs. Those of Normal Students

The present study compared the severity of aggression and stress in parents with mentally retarded vs. those with normal children. The sample under study was composed of 40 couples, parents of educable mentally retarded girls and boys in exceptional schools as well as 40 couples, parents of normal students in city 0 f Isfahanʹs elementary schools. The parents of the normal students were randomly selected and the parents of mentally retarded students were selected through random cluster sampling. The instruments used included Eysenk Aggression Questionnaire (l963 ) and Fredrick Stress Questionnaire (1974 ).
