The Effect ofEmotional IntelligenceSkills Training on Reduction ofParent - Child Conflicts among Female Adolescentsin Kerman

The present research aims at investigating the effects of emotional intelligence skills training on reduction of parent - child conflict in adolescent girls. 40 young girl who were studying in the first grades of Kennan state high schools were selected and placed randomly to experimental and con trol groups. The experimental group was given 8 sessions of emotional skills training. Parent-adolescant section of Murray - Straus conflict tactics questionnaire was used. The collected independent t-test and co-variance analysis. The results showed that training the emotional intelligence skills to female adolescent led to increase ofreasoning skills, reduxtion of verbal aggression, and conflict with parents. The mean score of physical aggression in post-test to pre-test has decreased but its, effect was not statistically significant.
