Pathology of Not Enforcing the 8th Article of Constitutional Law

The Constitutional Law of Islamic Republic of Iran is based on Islamic Law and includes articles whose enforcement can organize an ideal society and prepare the ground for the full-scale growth and elevation of the citizens. Among these articles, the 8th article on "enjoining the good and forbidding the evil" is precisely derived from the Quranic verse and is consistent with goals of Islamic Republic. However, there are always obstacles in enforcing religious rules and precepts, some of which are connected with enforcement and some others with resistance by some individuals, and still some others result from the difficulty of the action itself. There are some obstacles in enforcing this article which should be obviated by the authorities in an appropriate way so that a proper ground would be prepared for realizing it. The major impairments resulted from not enforcing the 8th article of the Constitution are: epistemic impairments, psychological impairments, legal and judicial impairments.
