Comparing the Methods of Reducing Volatile Air Pollutants

In this article, the various methods of double control used for reducing volatile organic compounds and their advantages and disadvantages have been discussed .These methods are divided to two categories of destructive and recovering. The destructive methods are the most common methods for controlling these compounds emission. Among the destructive methods, oxidation, especially catalytic oxidation has a high eliminating efficiency. This method is energy efficient because itʹs carried out in lower temperatures and has fewer byproducts. Among the recovering methods, adsorption has a high efficiency.
