Jalal Al-e-Ahmad is one of the influential and eminent writers of Iran contemporary literature that because of his personal characteristics and social conditions of his time has been subject of great controversial arguments. An important property of Al-e-Ahmadʹs works is that his writings are more significant in terms of their historical and documentary nature than their literary and artistic structure. Therefore, it is possible to trace history and culture of his time throughout his works. This research tends to consider carefully Al-e-Ahmadʹs two stories; From the Suffrage We Bear and Calling and Recalling upon, along with critical reviews and works published on them and study historical books of his time and his biographies in order to provide a picture of social, political and cultural condition of his era regarding these stories.
