There are different factors affecting tourism industry development. Among them comes the human communication which is emphasized in this paper. The variables involved include education, age, gender, values, and customs and face to face- factors which leave the most effect on visitors. The purpose of this study is to provide some suggestions for tourism industry development focusing on the human communications development.
The research population included tourism industry people consisted of tourists as well as hotels and travel agenciesʹ staff. A total of 703 questionnaires including 43 questions were distributed to collect data from the 3 groups. Results showed that: most in-coming tourists were men, among non-verbal communications the most influencing items were facial, head and eye gestures, and finally concerning tourism advertisement, the emphasis should be placed upon that of face to face.
