A survey of social effective factors on Fuel smuggling (A case study of shayegan in Mahabad )

This study aims to examine social factors affecting fuel smuggling (a case study of Shayegan Garden in Mahabad). this is a survey-participatory research.The theories that are used in this paper are based on Samir Amin theory (unequal development). Data was collected through questionnaires, interview and focus group techniques among 250 persons who lived in Shayegan. Based on inequality and deprivation of Shayegan two of three hypotheses (structural factors) are confirmed. The results show that deprivation and unemployment consider as the effective structural factors. Some of the consequent of fuel smuggling are revolt, conflict and strike.
