A survey on the observance of social norms among high school girl students of Semnan Provence

Social norms consider as common behaviors in the society that people learn them thru socialization and feel conformity with society.The aim of this research is to study rate of observance of social norms of high school girl students in Semnan province in 2003-4. The statistical community of research involved of 19454 girl students in this period and sample size consist of 718 students with their parents and 150 persons of school colleagues according to Choronbach formula who were elected through cluster sampling method .Also questionnaire is used in high schools. The results of research show that %84 of girls students in cities and %85 of them in districts and villages observe social norms that related to family. In addition, %69 of girls students in cities and %73 of them in districts and villages observe social norms related to schools. %79 of girls students in cities and %85 of them in districts and villages observe social norms related to society.
