Islamic Revolution, International System and the Prospects of West

Revolutions have always played a fundamental role in the formation of international system. This study tries to investigate and introduce the impacts of Iranian Islamic revolution - so far and in the future- on international system as well as violent and voluminous confrontations against our country by western states. The author believes that the Islamic revolution is not only one of important factors leading to the disintegration of the eastern bloc and the bipolar system but also has enormous potential to encounter with west and has been successful in turning the active and confident west- aggressive and powerful west- into a passive west which is also frightened of unpleasant future possibilities.
