The Study of Sex Education Effect on Couple rs Marital Quality in Isfahan

The purpose of this research was to study the effectivnes of sex education on the improvement of marital quality of couples in Isfahan. This research was quasi-experimental research with pre-post test and experimental control groups. 30 couples referred to family centers were randomly selected and assigned to experimental and control groups. Cuestionnaires were consisted of marital quality (shahsiah & Bahrami, 2008). The experimental group received sex edacation while control group was in waiting list. The result of covariance analysis showed that the sex education was effective in marital quality total score (P < 0.001) and in subscales (i-e) marital satisfaction (P < 0.001), sexual satisfaction (P < 0.001), marital conflict (P< 0/05) and marital intimacy (P < 0.001). In marital commitment (P = 0.072) and mantal adjustment (P = 0.66), it wasnʹt effective. Keywords: couples, sex education, marital quality
