Using number of papers indexed in science branch of institute for scientific information (ISI), largest science producer countries and their contributions in global science were known in 2003. Also the participation of Iran in global science production in all branches and majors is identified. Science production in Iran reaches to 0.29 percent in 2003, which has been sevenfold during the last decade of research activities. Chemistry has the most contribution in science as before. A number of 3222 papers have been indexed for Iran, which 77% of them have been indexed only by the name of Iran and in the rest of 23%, countries such as USA, Canada and England had the best contribution with Iran, respectively. To obtain 1% global science contribution in 2010, Iran should increase its number of papers at least by %25 in each year in compare with the previous year.
