Shiʹism, an answer to the most fundamental questions raised in the early days of Islam

Is religion a set of fixed doctrines, or answers to fundamental questions or a combination of the two? What is the relationship between Islam and Shiʹism as a reading of the innocent Imams? These are the questions that the writer is trying to answer in this paper. According to the writer, after the demise of the Prophet (pbuh), three readings of Islam emerged: Sunnism, Shiʹism and the Khavarej. Shiʹism, like any political movement, unfolded itself to address four major issues: to observe the crisis, to diagnose the malady, to reconstruct the society and to remedy the malady.
