Study of genetic diversity in four population of Rainy Cashmere goat using ISSR markers

In this study genetic variation in four populations of rainy Cashmere goat estimated using ISSR markers. A total Blood samples were collected from 70 unrelated animals in Rainy Cashmere Research Station and DNAs were isolated through optimized and modified Salting out procedure. The samples were used in polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with two ISSR markers, in which both of them showed polymorphism, so they were effective markers for genetic diversity analysis in goat. In general, it can be concluded that all of the four population of Rainy Cashmere goat have approximately high genetic diversity (Nei Index: .02 to .981). Therefore, animal breeding projects need attention to conserving the genetic diversity, so the genetic resources will be conserved as a worldʹs national investments.
