An Investigation into the Structure of Bijan and Manijeh Story

داستان بيژن و منيژه از جمله داستان‌هاي فرعي در طرح اندام‌وار شاهنامه است كه طرح و ساختار ويژه‌اي دارد. برخي محققان در پي توجيه تاريخي داستان برآمده‌اند و اصل داستان را مربوط به عصر اشكاني دانسته‌اند؛ اين در حالي است كه در اين داستان نشانه‌هاي اسطوره‌اي معناداري هست كه نمونه‌هاي مشابه آن در ديگر متون نيز وجود دارد. مساله‌ي اصلي اين است كه داستان بيژن و منيژه حاوي چه انديشه‌اي است كه موجب شمول و گستردگي آن گشته است؟ در عين حال، چگونه توانسته در طرح بزرگ شاهنامه جاي گيرد؟ تجزيه و تحليل ساختار داستان بر اساس روش ولاديمير پراپ نشان مي‌دهد ساختار اصلي داستان مبتني بر طرح آشناسازي قهرماني است. تكرار كاركردها و شخصيت‌هاي اصلي اين داستان در ساير داستان‌هاي معروف ايراني، ساختار بنيادين و غيرتاريخيِ داستان را تاييد مي‌كند. بررسي ژرف‌ساخت داستان نيز نشان مي‌دهد كه ساختار داستان بيژن و منيژه تحت تاثير آيين‌هاي باروري شكل گرفته و اشكال متنوّع آن در ديگر داستان‌ها نيز وجود دارد. شمول و گستردگي حوزه‌ي جغرافيايي آن نيز به سبب همين طرح داستاني و ساختار و ژرف‌ساخت مشترك است.

The old-age and widespread story of Bijan and Manijeh and its episodic place in Sh?hn?meh has led to dispute among researchers. Some attempt to present a historical justification for it and consider the story to be originated in the Parthian Era. The main issue is what kind of thought the story of Bijan and Manijeh contains which makes it so widespread and inclusive. At the same time, the question is how it could be placed in a great book like Sh?hn?meh. Analysis of the structure of the story based on Vladimir Proppʹs method shows the main structure is based on the plot of familiarization of the hero. Repetition of functions and main characters of this story in other Iranian stories confirm the basic and non-historic structure of Bijan and Manijeh. Investigation into the deep structure of the story too shows that it is formed under the influence of fertility rituals whose various forms are present in other stories. The reasons for the geographical inclusion of this story are the joint plot, structure and deep structure of the story.
