Predictive Role of Identity Styles on Religious Orientation in College Students

اين پژوهش با هدف بررسي نقش سبكهاي هويت در پيش بيني جهت گيريِ مذهبي دانشجويان انجام گرفت. در يك مطالعه توصيفي مقطعي، 159 نفر از دانشجويان دانشگاه سمنان با نمونه گيري تصادفي انتخاب شدند و پرسشنامه هاي اطلاعات جمعيت شناختي، سبكهاي هويت (ISI)، و مقياس جهت گيريِ مذهبي (ROS) را تكميل كردند. داده ها با استفاده از رگرسيون چندگانه به روش گام به گام با نرم افزار PASW تجزيه و تحليل شد. سبكهاي هويت هنجاري و اطلاعاتي نقش معناداري در پيش بيني جهت گيريِ مذهبيِ دروني داشتند و سبك هويت نامتمايز/ اجتنابي نيز نقش معناداري در پيش بيني جهت گيريِ مذهبي بيروني داشت. در مجموع، اين سه سبك %39 جهت گيريِ مذهبيِ دروني و %27 جهت گيري مذهبيِ بيروني را تبيين مي كردند (001/0 > P).

The present research was conducted for investigating the predictive role of identity styles on religious orientation in college students. In a cross-sectional descriptive study, 159 college students of Semnan University were selected by random sampling and completed the demographical questionnaire, Identity Styles Inventory (ISI), and Religious Orientation Scale (ROS). Data were analyzed by stepwise multiple regression by using PASW software. Normative identity style and informative identity style had significant role in prediction of intrinsic religious orientation, and undifferentiated/avoidant identity style has significant role in prediction of extrinsic religious orientation (P < 0/001). These there factors explained 39% of intrinsic religious orientation and 27% of extrinsic religious orientation.
