Mulla Sadra and a New Explanation of the Issue of Metamorphosis

مسيله تناسخ يكي از موضوعات پردامنه‌اي است كه در اديان گوناگون به‌ويژه اديان غيرابراهيمي مطرح است. از مسايل مطرح در دين اسلام مسيله مسخ است. تبيين اين مسيله و پاسخ به پرسشهاي پيرامون آن با توجه به اختلاف در مباني فكر و درك صحيحيا تلقي ناصحيح از مسيله مسخ، زمينه ارايه ديدگاه هاي متفاوتي در تبيين چيستي و چگونگي مسخ انسان پديدار نموده است. در اين مقاله كوشيده شده ديدگاه صدرالمتالهين، به‌ويژه با توجه به نگاشته مستقل وي در تفسير، بازبيني شود. صدرا با نگاهي نو به مسيله مسخ، و تمايز نهادن ميان تناسخ و مسخ و تفكيك تعاريف متفاوت از آن، تبييني خاص از اين مسيله ارايه مي‌دهد و روشن كرده كه مهم‌ترين اشكال تناسخ كه رجوع دوباره نفس مجرد به عالم ماده است در مسيله مسخ مطرح در قرآن وجود ندارد.

Reincarnation is one of the widespread issues which are under consideration in various and especially Non- Abrahamic religions. One disputable matter in Islam is Metamorphosis. Explaining the issue and answering the related questions according to the different intellectual principles, and the correct understanding or the wrong perception of metamorphosis have all caused the emergence of different viewpoints in this regard. The main focus in this paper is the review of Mulla Sadraʹs viewpoint, particularly considering his independent writing of interpretation. With his new attention to the issue of metamorphosis, and distinguishing between reincarnation and metamorphosis and the distinction of their different definitions, Mulla Sadra offers a specific explanation and makes clear that the most important forms of reincarnation in which the soul once again returns to the material world is not of the raised issues of metamorphosis in the Qurʹan.
