فهم و بصيرت، در پرتو هدايت‌هاي قرآن و اهل بيت? علايمي اصيل دارد كه به سعادت رهنمون مي گردند. دلالت دعاي «اللّهُمَّ عَرِّفني نَفسَكَ... »، بر ضرورت شناخت امام براي شناخت پيامبر و خداوند، بسيار هشدار دهنده بوده، شناخت امام را مقدّمه هدايت و نجات از گمراهي مي‌داند. اين پژوهش در مقام بيان مسير ورود مطمين به آينده‌اي است كه قرار است به حاكميت صالحان بر زمين بينجامد. در اين رويكرد، شناخت امام و انتظار او، بر قابليت پيش‌بيني و شناسايي مسير، رفتار و آداب حركت دلالت داشته، منتظر واقعي كسي است كه حق امام و آداب حركت او به سوي ظهور را مي‌شناسد. بدين ترتيب، راهبرد ورود به آينده موعود، راهبردي معرفتي مبتني بر شعور و آگاهي است و حتّي مي‌توان ادّعا كرد كه افزايش بلوغ و آگاهي پيروان، موجب كاهش دوران انتظار مي‌شود.

Denotation of the supplication, “All?humma ‘arrifn? nafsak …” (O Allah! Make Yourself known to me …) to the necessity of knowing the Imam for knowing the Prophet and God, is very alarming; it regards knowing the Imam as an introduction to guidance and deliverance from being misled. This research is intended to delineate a secure entrance to the future that is supposed to lead to the sovereignty of the pious on earth. In this approach, knowledge about the Imam and awaiting his reappearance denotes the capacity for foreseeing and moving toward the path, the manner and rules of movement; as the real awaiter is the one who knows the rights of the Imam and the rules of moving towards reappearance. Thus, the strategy for entering the promised future is an epistemological strategy based on mindfulness and awareness; and, it can even be claimed that the increase of the maturity and awareness of the followers would cause the decrease in the awaiting period.
